Greg Adley is the gang's fifth and current probation worker. He has a very serious anger problem, and a twisted sense of humour. He likes to bully the gang more than previous probation workers, and dislikes all of them, especially Finn. He was introduced in Episode 1 (Series 4).

It's suggested at times that he is a closeted homosexual. The first hint to this hidden personality trait is in Episode 4 (Series 4), when he tells Curtis that he is an attractive young man. He is also shown on various occasions to be very sensitive. In Episode 7 (Series 4), the gang accidentally find him singing "The Power of Love" by Frankie Goes to Hollywood onstage in a karaoke bar, leading to his anger that they have found him in such a vulnerable state.

In Episode 8 (Series 4). he is completely open with Rudy about his past, telling him that he was once in love, but messed up and has been feeling heartbroken since. He encourages Rudy to go out and save his love for Nadine instead of making the same mistakes as he did. He also tells him that love feels like "crawling naked through broken glass and dog shit."

In Episode 1 (Series 5), he catches Alex anally-raping Finn to remove his power, but mistakes it for a genuine homosexual experience between the two. He quickly apologises for intruding before leaving and sitting outside the room with a melancholy expression on his face, suggesting his empathy.

Later in Episode 2 (Series 5), he catches Finn naked in the shower and refuses to give back his towel.

In Episode 3 (Series 5) Greg strongly came on to Finn and confessed love to him.Finn pushes him away and he falls over a handrail and on to the floor below and, fearing he was dead, he and Rudyattempt to bury his body but when he get dropped into a pit he moves and they find that he is still alive. He wakes up in the pit for  Rudy to hit him on the head with a shovel. His body was then placed in his car to make him think he had fallen asleep and that it was all just a dream.

In the Misfits book, there is a section in the form of a newspaper article, in which Greg has written what he believes his perfect Sunday would be, which includes relatively normal things, but often in a violent manner, such as insulting the weeds as he does his gardening, or repeatedly stabbing his breakfast as he cooks it.
